MANILA, Philippines – With a tight victory over a tenacious Farm Fresh team, the reigning champion Creamline Cool Smashers extended their winning run to 16 games in the exciting opening match of the 2024 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference.

As one of the Cool Smashers’ most impressive players, Tots Carlos commended Farm Fresh for their strong defense and well-thought-out offensive tactics while acknowledging their tireless work ethic.
“Farm Fresh executed a brilliant performance. They were defending and attacking with skill. They executed fast plays and combinations,” said Carlos following the spirited victory last Saturday.

After 45 minutes of heated play, Creamline led 24 to 22 in the opening set, but Farm Fresh mounted a stunning comeback and stole the set with an Alyssa Bertolano ace.

After losing the opening set, Creamline took charge of the next few games and won 34 to 36, 25 to 23, 25 to 22, and 25 to 15. After evaluating their performance, Carlos emphasized the necessity of correcting mistakes and emphasized the significance of grasping the fundamentals and remaining in charge of the game in all its facets.

Carlos was able to relate to the coach’s instructions to keep control over a variety of skills, including passing, spiking, and even emotions. She emphasized the team’s dedication to progress and noted that in order to avoid such difficulties in subsequent games, issues must be handled more skillfully.
Carlos praised Farm Fresh’s defensive capabilities, but she also pointed out that Creamline needs to improve its fundamentals and quickly adapt to various game scenarios.

Even though they won, the Cool Smashers understand that they must keep getting better as they compete in the All-Filipino Conference.
