For giving her the chance to make a comeback in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference, Michelle Morente has expressed her thanks to PLDT head coach Rald Ricafort.

In the Reinforced Conference at the end of the previous season, Morente, who last competed with Army-Black Mamba in the 2022 Invitationals, was left without a team. Before receiving the call from the High Speed Hitters for the All-Filipino Conference, she spent her time working out with Creamline.

Morente expressed his gratitude to the coach, saying, “I just want to thank the coach because that’s what I’ve been waiting for – someone to trust me over the months. I am very glad to coach Rald because he gave me the opportunity to come back and give my best performance and all.”

In PLDT’s 25 to 13, 25 to 22, 27 to 25 triumphs at the Philsports Arena on Tuesday night, the former La Salle standout contributed 10 points, which allowed PLDT to break Chery Tiggo’s unblemished record. The High Speed Hitters’ last two games, both of which ended in victories, have been started by Morente, who came off the bench in the team’s defeat to F2 Logistics on the team’s opening day.

The former Perlas standout is still dissatisfied with her recent strong performances and feels that for the High-Speed Hitters to succeed in the future, she needs to be more reliable. She also promised to support PLDT in any manner possible as they attempt to finally win the All-Filipino Conference.
