Myla Pablo Knows That Time Is Not on Petro Gazz’s Side After Going Down 0-2

Jul 20, 2022

Myla Pablo urges Petro Gazz to move on from Creamline loss after going down to 0-2 to open their 2022 PVL Invitational Conference.

To start the young tournament, the Angels lost to archrival Creamline, 22-25, 25-23, 22-25, 20-25.

Two days later, Petro Gazz were dealt a surprising 22-25, 16-25, 25-21, 23-25 loss to Army-Black Mamba.

Tough will be the climb for Petro Gazz as it still has PLDT, Chery Tiggo, Cignal, and Choco Mucho on its slate in the single round robin tournament.

And as early as now, Pablo is already sounding the alarm.

“Yun nga e. Siguro kung ano yung mga nangyari in the past two games talaga namin is kailangan pag-trabahuhin pa namin sa loob ng court,” said the 28-year old outside hitter out of Tarlac.

“Kailangan talaga namin maghabol sa winning games.”

The National University alumna put up 16 points off 12 attacks, three blocks, and an ace on a losing effort against the Lady Troopers.

Pablo shared that even Angels’ head coach Arnold Laniog noticed that something was off with the team in their matchup against Army.

“Sabi nga ni Coach Arnold kung may nararamdaman ba kami sa katawan, dinadala ba namin yung pagkatalo namin against Creamline?” Pablo shared.

“Ang gulo talaga namin sa loob ng court, nakikita naman namin, ang bigat talaga namin, and then parang hindi kami yung naglalaro.”’

The two-time Conference MVP added that no other than the players are the ones who need to take accountability to Petro Gazz’ disappointing start this conference.

And they need to get their acts together before it’s too late.

“Kami naman yung naglalaro, katawan naman namin talaga yun e. So sinasabi nga namin with the coaches na parang ang tight namin sa loob ng court. Hindi kami makagalaw talaga, so no more communication, tapos parang ang tahimik,” she said.

“Kailangan talaga namin maghabol sa winning games. Magiistart kami siguro sa PLDT, sa games namin. Hopefully na hindi na mangyari ulit yung two games namin na super down and going into game three namin against PLDT.”
