After a difficult second set in which they lost handily, the Tornadoes battled back to win the third set with a commanding triumph. They successfully resisted Gerflor’s late comeback attempts in the match’s crucial stages and earned a grueling 26-24, 13-25, 25-21, 26-24 victory, leading to an 11th-place finish.

Despite the Defenders’ impressive comeback, Foton experienced some nervous moments as they dropped three match points. But the team’s seasoned player, Nene Bautista, rose to the challenge and was a key factor in leading the Tornadoes to a successful outcome in the PVL Invitational Conference.
