Coach Karl Dimaculangan bemoaned the first set mishap, saying, “I think it is our wakeup call that we need to play a serious game and fight hard in every point and set.”
We must constantly play seriously; that is our mindset, attention, and attitude should always be there. The hype should be put aside because we are still far from our goal. We must not be complacent, especially given the current circumstances and the fact that it is still Ateneo.
However, the Lady Bulldogs’ errors kept the Blue Eagles in the game, with the closest score being four, 22 to 18, but Faith Nisperos’ hit soared past the line and was followed by Belen’s block on Vanie Gandler and Solomon’s powerful spike to end the match.
To win against Ateneo and maintain its unbeaten streak, NU rallies from a set down.
