World champions Elisa Balsamo and Ellen van Dijk are among the lineup’s shining stars, along with a plethora of other national winners.
Trek-Segafredo’s women’s team has released its Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift roster.
The TdFF roster of the American team is adorned with rainbow stripes and national team colors.
Next week, world champion Elisa Balsamo, double Italian national champion Elisa Longo Borghini, TT world champion Ellen van Dijk, US time trial national champion Leah Thomas, and double European U23 champion Shirin van Anrooij will ride in front of their home crowds. They will also be joined by French TT champion Audrey Cordon Ragot.
Audrey Cordon-Ragot, a legendary rider in the WWT and a multiple-time French national champion, speaks exclusively for VeloNews about the Tour de France Femmes and what it means to her. She said that little girls can don their jerseys, they can be as passionate as they are when it comes to the sport, and one day they will experience what it is like to compete in the best women’s competition in the world. She remarked that she understands the responsibility, how beautiful sport can be, and how much promise there is for women’s cycling. The attention that other races will receive as a result of this expanded exposure will help more teams as well. According to her, since she started racing, this is the biggest advancement for women’s cycling.
The team recently completed a successful stop at the Baloise Ladies Tour, where Cordon Ragot finished third and van Dijk won the overall competition.
