MANILA, Philippines – In their 2023 PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup match against the PSP Gymers on Thursday at the Filoil EcoOil Center in San Juan, WANGS Basketball @27 Striker-Letran is hoping to change their luck.

Despite losing their first two games, the Knights still appear to have a good chance of finally winning a game.

Letran made its debut last week and suffered a discouraging 90-87 loss against Marinerong Pilipino-San Beda, but ran out of gas against CEU and dropped that game in overtime, 92-85.

On the other hand, the Knights are not yet prepared to panic.

They didn’t win the NCAA championship three times in a row for nothing.

Kurt Reyson, Kobe Monje, and Pao Javillonar will all be relied upon by Letran’s new coach Rensy Bajar, who said, “We have to rely on our defense. We should be disciplined and hungry to win.”

Though unperturbed, the 2 to 2 Gymers continue. They assured that they will compete with Letran. PSP’s season began with a surprise victory over Marinerong Pilipino-San Beda, 94-92.

The Gymers’ fight will be led by Jayvee Dela Cruz, Dariel James Bayla, and seasoned fighter Val Acuna.
