MANILA, Philippines – In the just-completed 2023 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference, Kim Fajardo of F2 Logistics had a performance of 11 points, a career high, which helped her team win a bronze medal.

In the bronze-medal final, the Cargo Movers overcame a sluggish start to upset PLDT in four sets at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, earning their best PVL result since entering in 2019.

Despite the fact that she scored a lot of points, Fajardo’s remarkable performance was also about the importance of the feat.

That feels incredible, and I’m pleased because I scored 11 points and because this is our first podium finish, said Fajardo.

Fajardo showed that she still had the necessary skills to compete at the highest level by assisting her team in getting past PLDT’s formidable defense despite having dealt with many injuries in previous years. With F2 Logistics, Fajardo contributed 24 superb sets, five attacks, four blocks, and two aces.

Because it made her think of her own tenacity, her amazing performance was made all the more special.

The 11 points were particularly important to Fajardo as an individual player because they served as a reminder that he still had it in him. “I am happy, but at first it was difficult for me to play a whole game since I just came back from an injury. So, I was trying myself to see how far I could push myself after surgery and all my past ailments,” Fajardo said.

Fajardo and her team were adamant about improving and returning to the conference with more strength even though F2 Logistics did not advance to the final round.

Even if we didn’t succeed right away, we are aware of our weaknesses and will work to overcome them in the upcoming conference. We won’t accept defeat or failing to place among the top three volleyball teams in our nation or in the Final Four, Fajardo stated.

F2 Logistics has a promising future in the PVL thanks to Fajardo’s leadership and tenacity. The squad has the ability to advance higher in the league and have greater success in the future, as seen by their strong performance in the All-Filipino Conference.
