The 2021-2022 Indian Super League tournament is set to kick off November 19th behind closed doors in Goa. This will go on until March 2022.
The opening match will feature a clash between last year’s finalist ATK Mohun Bagan FC and the Kerala Blasters FC in Goa at the Fatorda Stadium. The fixture was announced by the Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL) for the 11 rounds opening matches this season. The remaining part of the fixture is set to be released in December.
The Current ISL champions Mumbai City are scheduled to face it off with FC Goa on November 21st for their first match. The first Kolkata derby will be between ATK Mohun Bagan FC playing against SC East Bengal on November 27th.
Goa will be the host of this year’s tournament, this being their second consecutive hosting. The matches will be played in three stadiums namely Vasco’s Tilak Maidan Stadium, GMC Stadium in Bambolim, and the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium which is in Fatorda. The matches will be played behind closed doors meaning there won’t be any fans present because of the deadly Corona Virus that is still rampant in India.
According to the fixture of ISL 2021-2022. The league will feature a total of 115 games being played. Regular weekday matches are to be played from Regular 7:30 PM. The matches that will be double-headed on Saturday will be kicking off from 9:30 PM local time
The matches will be broadcasted live through Star sports 1, Star Sports 2, Star Sports 3, Star Sports 1 Hindi, and to all HD Channels that will air it in India. You can also check sports out the matches from Disney+ Hotstar and the JioTV. The matches will also be streamed on various private channels on YouTube so be sure to catch the live matches and watch your favorite home team in action.
