Teams like Team Secret, Paper Rex, and Xerxia will compete for a spot at Masters Copenhagen, along with Alter Ego, Bleed eSports, and CERBERUS Esports.

As the regional APAC Challengers are scheduled to begin sometime in June, Stage 2 Challengers for nations in the APAC region are coming to an end. To win one of the two seats APAC has available for the 2019 Masters Copenhagen, which will start in July, 20 teams from the region will compete against one another.

18 teams, including two each from Hong Kong and Taiwan, one from Oceania, and three each from Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam, have confirmed their placement out of the 20 teams that have been scheduled for the competition. South Asia will take three of the remaining berths.

The APAC Stage 2 Challengers’ participating teams are:

  • XERXIA
  • Team Secret
  • Onic Esports
  • Paper Rex
  • Fancy United Esports
  • FW ESPORTS
  • Oasis Gaming
  • Alter Ego
  • LaZe
  • CERBERUS Esports
  • MiTH
  • Rex Regum Qeon
  • BOOM Esports
  • Bleed eSports
  • Team Big BAAM
  • Griffin eSports
  • Ghetto Artist
  • ORDER

Riot has not yet confirmed the mechanics for the Challenger, but it may be similar to Stage 1 in that teams will be divided into Play-in and Group stages, with the lower-ranked teams playing in the former first and the top teams from the Play-in stage continuing in the Group stage where they will face higher-ranked teams.

Following the Group stage, the top eight teams go to the Knockouts to determine which two teams will compete at Masters Copenhagen.
