To advance to the Grand Final, they defeated OpTic Gaming in the Upper Bracket Finals.
As the first APAC team to compete in a Masters Grand Final at Copenhagen, Paper Rex created history. To earn a spot in the Masters Copenhagen grand finale round, where they will face the victor of the lower bracket finals, the Southeast Asian team defeated the North American team in the Upper Bracket Finals.
The game began on Haven, where Paper Rex quickly gained the lead and amassed enough victories in the first period to have OpTic work hard to catch up. The NA boys had no chance as they quickly racked up 4 wins consecutively in the second half of the map to win 13-3.

OpTic did regain their momentum on the second map, Bind, where they managed to turn the match around and take the lead at the end of the first period. Although Paper Rex made a strong effort to catch ahead in the second half, OpTic only needed to win round 22 to earn a point from Paper Rex.
The boys from Southeast Asia put twice as much work on the third map, Fracture, after taking the loss in the second map to heart. The first map’s tactic was imitated by Paper Rex, who increased the pressure they were applying to OpTic Gaming. In the first half, Paper Rex secured their lead by winning 7 consecutive rounds. OpTic offered little resistance in the second half, but another back-to-back victory, this time four in a row, ensured that Paper Rex would go to the Grand Finals as the first APAC team.
Paper Rex triumphed 2-1. The winner of the MVP award was f0rsakeN.
The victor of the Lower Bracket Final between OpTic Gaming and FunPlus Phoenix, who previously faced Fnatic in the semi-finals, will meet them. FunPlus Phoenix also faced their challenge.
