The other two teams making up the Upper Semis are Fnatic and OpTic Gaming.

The early round of the playoffs has completed its first half. Four teams have emerged from the ashes to advance to the upper bracket semifinals, while four more are competing in the lower bracket for a spot in the grand final round. With two teams from the region participating in the semi-finals, Asia appears to be the dominant force this time around.

The following four teams are in the upper bracket semifinals:

  • Paper Rex
  • Fnatic
  • DRX
  • OpTic Gaming

Before moving on to the Grand Final round, the four teams will compete to see which one advances to the top bracket and faces off against the other in the final.

“Two teams fall to Lowers.

Here’s how the Playoff bracket is looking. #VALORANTMasters”

This time around, Paper Rex is a clear favorite, as evidenced by the ease with which they defeated Guild Esports in their opening encounter. Despite having some luggage problems on the trip to Copenhagen, the crew is fresh as a daisy because they are one of the seeded teams and their journey has only just begun. As their match against FunPlus Phoenix was also a clean sweep, the other seeded team, Fnatic, also displayed a great start.

On the other hand, DRX defeated Leviatán in their match, demonstrating that they are still full of life even after making it through the Group Stage. OpTic Gaming also triumphed, this time over XSET, demonstrating that they are still capable of competing in the Playoffs despite having only completed the Group Stage.

It’s noteworthy to notice that two teams from the group stages and two of the top-seeded teams have advanced to the semifinals.

Four teams will be competing in the lower brackets to see who can advance to the Grand Final’s decisive game. There are four teams:

  • Guild Esports
  • FunPlus Phoenix
  • Leviatán Esports
  • XSET
