A playable LeBron James appears to be available in more games than only NBA 2K23.
One of the characters in the free-to-play fighting game MultiVersus, which feels and plays like Super Smash Bros. but features characters from the entire Warner Bros. film and animated series slate, will be the Los Angeles superstar, or at least the Space Jam: A New Legacy version of him.
LeBron will thus be squaring off against a variety of characters, including Batman, Superman, Arya Stark, Tom & Jerry, Bugs Bunny, Finn, Jake the Dog, Rick & Morty, the Iron Giant, and more. Essentially, it is Space Jam’s last act but in free-to-play platform fighter style.
But unfortunately, LeBron James will not be doing the voice work. John Bentley, an actor, will instead deliver his quick one-liners.
LeBron will be slower but tougher than the other character types because he is a Bruiser character, which is a subtype. Naturally, the basketball he prefers to utilize as a weapon is what he will use to best advantage, slamming the ball into the hoop with incredible force. It looks like his Space Jam cowboy outfit is one of his unlockable skins.
When the game’s open beta begins on July 26, he will go live. Except for the Nintendo Switch, it is accessible on all the major platforms.
