Teams from throughout the globe will be vying for the last tickets to Champions Istanbul later this year.
The Champions 2022 tournament, scheduled to take place in Istanbul later in September, is still a ways off after the thrilling grand final between Paper Rex and FunPlus Phoenix last weekend. However, there are still the Last Chance Qualifiers to complete out the sixteen teams that will be competing at the year-ending competition for VALORANT by selecting six teams from the six regions.
The Last Chance Qualifiers, or LCQ, will be held in each of the six regions that make up VCT 2022 to select the lone team from each zone to join the 10 already pre-qualified teams based on circuit points. The teams from each region will compete in their own LCQ, which will begin on separate dates and end on August 14th.
Mechanics & Dates
The following are the dates for each LCQ:
- APAC: 1 – 7 August
- South America: 6 – 14 August
- North America: 7 – 14 August
- EMEA: 7 – 14 August
- East Asia (KR & JP): 8 – 14 August
The other regions will disclose their confirmed mechanics for the LCQ in the following days; as of right now, only APAC has released them. The LCQ will be played in a double-elimination bracket format for APAC.
