HEAP, YEKINDAR and w0nderful sign up for mainline CS:GO duties with Fnatic, Team Liquid, & Team Spirit respectively this season.
As we get into the second half of 2022, three clubs are changing up their active CS:GO lineups this season. To assure their viability for the remainder of the season, especially just in time for the upcoming IEM Cologne, each team here has made adjustments and alterations to their composition.
Ihor “w0nderful” Zhdanov, a 17-year-old Ukrainian AWPer, has just joined the Russian team. He takes the place of Abdulkhalik “debater” Gasanov, who was recently benched. This occurred as the squad chose Belgrade, Serbia, as their operational hub rather than their native nation.
Due to “non-game reasons” involving him and the squad, Degster was benched. This includes his choice to leave Serbia temporarily when the team shifted their base of operations there to avoid being associated with Russia in light of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
In the past, W0nderful has collaborated with groups like MAJESTY, Project X, Trasko Esports, and HellRaisers. He will be playing in the next IEM Cologne with the rest of the lineup; this will be his first venture into the major tournament circuit with Team Spirit.
on quote:
“We are very happy to welcome Igor (w0nderful) to Team Spirit. He proved himself perfectly during the tests and showed uncharacteristic for his age determination and confidence in his actions. We can already claim that he has high chances to become a top level player with the right amount of diligence and effort.”
– Sergey “hally” Shavaev – CS:GO Coach of Team Spirit
