An eleven year old RSG PH fan named Gab was present at the team’s preseason meet and greet session. When shoutcaster Chantelle Hernandez handed Gab the microphone, the young man from Manila questioned, “Pwede kitang yakapin Nathzz? ”

Nathanael “Nathzz” Estrologo immediately flushed, but he did not even hesitate or think twice about leaving the stage to grant his fan’s request.

The 11-year-old responded, “Dahil malakas siya mag-EXP lane tsaka marunong siyang mandurog ng kalaban,” when asked why he admires Nathzz.

He attended the event specifically due to his fandom of Nathzz. Zee, his aunt, told Spin.ph that Gab kept bringing up the meet and greet event to her.

“Every day kase talaga siya naglalaro [ng Mobile Legends], and I recall matagal na and I think even before manalo sila ng MSC, fan siya. So, when he found out na dito lang sa Greenhills, he kept asking me every day,” she said.

[“He really plays [Mobile Legends] every day, and I recall that it’s been a long time and I think even before they won the MSC, he was a fan. So, when he found out that it was only here in Greenhills, he kept asking me every day,” she said.]

“We support him kase we know yung importance yung makita niya yung idol niya and we want to encourage that pero at the same time we also want to know na we will give everything we can as long as siya ay magpakabait at mag-aral ng mabuti.”

[“We support him because we know the importance of him seeing his idol and we want to encourage that but at the same time we also want him to know that we will give everything we can as long as he is kind and studies well .”]

She was also made aware of the peaks and valleys of being a competitive gamer through her support for her nephew. Zee said that Gab would frequently become irritated while playing Mobile Legends and it was not until she brought him to this event that she understood why.

RSG presented a film of their MSC journey during the event, showing the team’s difficult emotional journey before they were crowned champions.

“Wala naman siyang problem, I think the only problem is sobrang into the game siya. So sometimes syempre lahat nananalo, natatalo. I don’t play ML but I know games and I know kapag naiinis ka talaga, naiinis ka, and it changes his mood,” she said. “Yun yung downside ng game, so kaya kami nandito para makita niya na ma-encounter niya na sa lahat nangyayari yun.”

[“It doesn’t have a problem; I think the only problem is that he’s too into the game. So sometimes of course everyone wins, loses. I don’t play ML but I know games and I know when you get really upset, you get upset, and it changes his mood,” she said. “That’s the downside of the game, so we’re here so he can see what he’s going to encounter that happens to everyone.”]

Nathzz felt honored to witness a diehard fan

Nathzz found it touching to see a fan treat him like an idol.

In response, the RSG EXP laner added, “Masaya kase may mga taong ganun na sinusuportahan ka talaga tapos sobrang na-appreciate ko and damang-dama ko yung support niya sa akin kaya masarap sa feeling.”

[In response, the RSG EXP laner added, “It’s nice to have people like that who really support you, and I really appreciate and feel his support for me, so it’s a good feeling.”]

“Kung nag-e-ML siya pagpatuloy niya yan kase 15 years old pa lang ako, magsi-sixteen na pero naabot ko yung pangarap ko. Maaabot mo yung pangarap mo basta work hard ka palagi,” he said by imparting some advice to Gab.

[“If he is playing ML, he should continue because I am only 15 years old, turning sixteen but I have reached my dream. You can reach your dream as long as you always work hard,” he said by imparting some advice to Gab.]
