The American Criterium Cup series’ sixth race is held in Idaho.

On Saturday, July 9, the 35th yearly Boise Twilight Criterium will take place in the city of Boise, Idaho.

Boise Twilight, the fifth race in the 2022 American Criterium Cup, offers a full day of competition and fun for participants of all ages and skill levels. Races for children, masters, and categories begin the day before the 6:00 p.m. MST opening ceremony.

The elite races will include Canadian national road and crit champion Maggie Coles-Lyster (DNA Pro Cycling) and newly crowned 2022 U.S. crit national champion Michael Hernandez of Best Buddies Pro Racing.

According to Catherine Fegan-Kim, director of DNA Pro Cycling, the Boise Twilight Criterium has always been one of their favorite races with its enormous audiences and top-notch competitiveness. “We are especially excited this year to bring Maggie, who just won the Canadian National Championship Road Race and Criterium.”

The pro women’s race will be broadcast live on July 9 at 6:30 p.m. MDT, followed by the men’s race at 8:05 p.m. MDT. The women’s race will feature commentary by Olympian Kristen Armstrong, and the men’s competition will be covered by 21-time national champion Daniel Holloway.

According to Jeff Corbett, the series manager, Boise is a crucial stop for the American Criterium Cup. He said that it is a well-known race, it is in the middle of the season, and the competition is heating up.

Alfredo Rodriguez and Maggie Coles-Lyster are the top two riders overall, with Maggie taking the lead in the women’s sprint category. In the men’s sprint, Brandon Feehery is in the lead and is just a few strong finishes ahead of Alfredo. “It’s bike racing, and anything can happen.”

Best Buddies has a sizable lead over Project Echelon in the ACC teams’ standings leading into Boise. Between Colavita Factor Pro Cycling and DNA Pro Cycling, there is a considerably smaller difference for the women.
