Matthew Short has looked good with the bat and he would aim to set up a good opening wicket stand with Matt Renshaw here. In the middle order Ian Cockbain, Jake Weatherald, and Jonathan Wells add good strength to this batting line-up and runs would be expected from them. Sydney Sixers are coming to this match on the back of a massive win over Melbourne Renegades with a handsome margin of 45 runs. They won the toss and decided to bat first. The performance of their batting order was average. They scored 150 runs in their innings of 20 overs. The skipper, Moises Henriques was the most successful and highest run-scorer from their side who scored 49 runs on 35 deliveries with the help of four boundaries and one huge six. Jack Edwards also performed well and scored 40 runs. He smashed three boundaries and one huge six during his inning.
Sydney Sixers won the previous match due to the best performance by their bowling unit. They defended the target of 151 runs and leaked 105 runs. They send a full team of Melbourne Renegades back to the pavilion in 17 overs. Ben Dwarshuis was the most successful and highest wicket-taker from their side who picked five wickets in his four overs bowled out against 26 runs. Sean Abbott picked two wickets while Jackson Bird, Todd Murphy, and Hayden Kerr picked one wicket each.

Daniel Hughes and Henriques would be confident after their good knocks in the last game. Daniel Christian, Jordan Silk, and Sean Abbott add punch to this batting line-up and they would look to add quick runs down the order.
Jackson Bird and Sean Abbott have done well as a new ball pair and the same would be expected from them in this game. Steve O’Keefe was brilliant in the last game and he would look to keep the scoring rate under check in the middle overs with Christian and Ben Dawrshuis. Henriques and Hayden Kerr add good variety to this attack.
