Bangladesh’s captain, Shakib Al Hasan, basically held up the Bangladeshi batting on his own. He went past fifty in both innings and was easily the only player that seemed to have some plan as to how to approach his inning. Even if he was taking risks, he was clear in his mind.
The rest of the batters, especially the top order, have a lot to think about. Facing the Duke’s ball is never easy since it tends to swing quite a lot and for a lot longer than other balls. However, the second-inning effort would have given some hope to the Bangladeshi batters.
We are still not going to bet on any one of them. Betting on Shakib Al Hasan to be the Top Batsman for Bangladesh is the only bet that we would consider.
Khaled Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman asked some tough questions of the West Indian batters. We thought Ebadot Hossain was a bit off his rhythm and that hurt Bangladesh.
