NORTHERN WARRIORS VS DELHI BULLS MATCH ANALYSIS Delhi Bulls have some massive T10 names on their roster. Jason Roy, Dwayne Bravo, Ravi Rampaul, Adil Rashid and Sherfane Rutherford – just to name a few. Roy won’t be available after he picked up an injury in the World Cup but Rahmanullah Gurbaz will make up for Roy’s absence at the top of the order. Rilee Roscoe Rossouw and Sohaib Maqsood can also hit the long ball. Dominic Drakes, Romario Shepherd and Gulbadin Naib are quality all-rounders in their line-up. Spinner Akeal Hosein is coming off a good T10 WC campaign. Chris Jordan will look to erase the memories of the T10 WC semi-final against New Zealand from his mind when Jimmy Neesham took him apart and focus on leading the Northern Warriors’ pace attack. The team is a bit weak on batting resources, but will expect Moeen Ali to cover up with bat and ball. They have gone for an all-rounder heavy outfit with Rovman Powell, Rayad Emrit and Samit Patel in the ranks as well. Some might argue that opener Upul Tharanga is past his prime but you never doubt class, even when it’s a bit old. PLAYING SQUADS IN THE MATCH DELHI BULLS

TEAMS PREVIEW NORTHERN WARRIORS PREVIEW Rovman Powell would have a huge responsibility on his shoulder as he leads the defending champions in the first game. The new skipper would be looking for a great start to the tournament. They had defeated the Bulls in the final of the last edition and the new-look team would look to repeat that success here.  The side would like to see a positive start from Upul Tharanga and Rameez Shahzad as their opponents have an experienced bowling attack. The middle-order has good strength with Powell, Moeen Ali, and Rayad Emrit bringing in lots of experience. The side would also like to see fireworks towards the end from the likes of Abdul Shakoor, Samit Patel, and Chris Jordan who are good hitters of the ball.  They have a strong bowling attack, and the side would like to see tight bowling from Joshua Little and Chris Jordan with the new ball. Moeen Ali and Imran Tahir bring in experience to this attack and they would be expected to keep the scoring rate under check. Patel would have to play the supporting act well in this game. DELHI BULLS PREVIEW Dwayne Bravo’s side had done well, and they were unlucky to have finished runner-up. Bravo who has lots of experience in this format of the game shall look to lead from the front and offer a strong start to his side in the game. He has a strong group of players and would expect them to perform at their best in this game.  The side would like to see an electrifying start from Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Rilee Rossouw. They have power hitters in the middle order with Morgan and Mohammad Hafeez and the pair would be expected to do well in this game. Down the order, the side would like to see runs from the bat of Gulbadin Naib, Sherfane Rutherford, and Bravo who are big hitters of the ball.  Their bowling attack would face a tough challenge in this game, and they would like to see tight spells from Akeal Hosein and Adil Rashid opening the bowling for them. Nayeem Young would have to support Bravo in the middle overs and bowl tight lines. Naib and Hafeez add variety to this attack.  NW VS DB PITCH REPORT AND CONDITIONS There has been a wide range of team totals at the games in Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi so far, but we expect a competitive total to be around the 160-165 mark. NW VS DB T10 TOSS The toss plays a key role in all matches’ decisions in NW vs DB 2021. Based on our toss prediction, the team that wins the toss can choose to bat first according to the weather forecast and pitch condition WEATHER CONDITIONS The skies would be clear over Abu Dhabi on November 19 we expect to see a high-scoring game. There won’t be much on this surface for the bowlers and batsman would be able to play on the up. The side batting first in this game would aim to put 120 runs or more on the board. VENUE DETAILS Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi is a large ground, but it has a very quick outfield, and this allows the batsmen to score lots of runs at this venue. Fast bowlers have struggled here in this format of the game as there is nothing for them on the surface. Spinners who use their variations have done well here in the past. TOSS: TO BOWL In the 29 games played last season, sides chasing the score had won on 21 occasions. The toss has been very important in this format of the game where the sides chasing the score have had an advantage and hence, we see the side winning the toss having no hesitation in bowling first. NWS VS DBS WINNING PREDICTION It is the first game of the season for both the teams and hence there would be pressure on the sides to perform. Delhi Bulls have retained many of their players from the last edition and shall aim to do well here. Northern Warriors on the other hand have gone in for a new-look side. They have a stronger bowling attack, and this would make them favorites in this game. Northern Warriors to win.
