Ronald Dulatre was chosen by NLEX to serve as its new PBA Board alternate governor. As the appointment began on August 1, a letter of notice was submitted over the weekend to the Office of the PBA Commissioner.

Dulatre, a 23-year veteran of the NLEX Corporation, will collaborate closely with Rod Franco, team governor of the Road Warriors.

The friendly official has been a member of the Road Warriors management group from the team’s PBA D-League days, when it won six championships overall, including four straight from 2011 to 2013.

He presently leads the Treasury, Risk, and Insurance Management Department and is the Vice President of Finance.

The Road Warriors will become better and more competitive thanks to his experience and leadership skills, according to Franco.

Meanwhile, TNT is still present in the PBA 3×3 First Conference Season 3 despite the absence of Almond Vosotros.

After the first day of group play at Ayala Malls Manila Bay, The Triple Giga, Meralco, and five other teams secured spots in the Leg 5 quarterfinals.

Lacking Vosotros, the Triple Giga finished first in Pool B with a 2-1 record after defeating Purefoods and Blackwater by scores of 15–14 and 21–14, respectively.

They then fell to San Miguel by a score of 20–18.

The Bolts, on the other hand, wasted little time in advancing to the next round in Pool C by defeating Barangay Ginebra (18-13) and Pioneer Elastoseal (19-14).

Meralco hopes to finish the group play with a three-game sweep by defeating winless Wilcon Depot (0-2) in Tuesday’s morning session before the quarterfinals, led by big man Alfred Batino.

Pioneer Elastoseal, Barangay Ginebra, Northport, and Cavitex, the leg winner from the previous week, joined Meralco in the knockout round.

While this was going on, Pioneer Elastoseal secured the second quarterfinals spot in Pool C with a 2-1 record that included wins over Wilcon Depot (18-11) and Barangay Ginebra (21-19), as well as a 19-14 loss to the Bolts.

Despite having a losing record in Pool C, Ginebra is already guaranteed to advance because it defeated Wilcon by a score of 21-15 in their previous meeting. This is true even if the visiting team were to defeat Meralco in their next game.

Cavitex, Northport, and Terrafirma all had identical 1-1 records at the end of Pool A play, but the Braves and Batang Pier advanced because they had scored the most points overall.

The Braves scored 36, Dyip had 34, and the Batang Pier had 38.

Following the important match between Purefoods and Blackwater, who are level with 1-1 records in Pool B, the last two quarterfinal spots will be determined.

The winner of the match between the Titans and Smooth Razor advances directly to the next round, while the loser ties San Miguel (1-2) for the last available spot. The Beermen, however, suffered defeats against Blackwater (19-17) and Purefoods (21-19).

Barangay Ginebra (Legs 1 and 2), TNT (Leg 3), and Cavitex were previous conference winners.
