Manday, Bono Star as San Miguel Rips Tnt to Clinch Pba 3×3 Leg Title

On Sunday at Robinsons Place in Antipolo, SAN Miguel played spoiler and denied TNT’s bid for greatness in making PBA 3×3 Third Conference history by winning Leg 5 of the PBA 3×3 Third Conference. Jeff Manday and Ken Bono’s Mutt and Jeff combination scored half of the Beermen’s points resulting in a 21 to 12 victory over the Tropang Giga to win the top prize of P100,000. The Beermen defeated the Tropang Giga’s bid to become the first team to win three straight leg titles in this conference, becoming only the third team to do so. Cavitex won the duel for third place with a score of 21 to 14, denying Terrafirma a podium finish. The Braves won P30,000 for their best finish since finishing second behind Meralco in Leg 2 of the competition. Cavitex took third place with 21 points, with Rivero and Galanza earning eight points each, Saldua contributing five points, and Rangel contributing none. Terrafirma received five points from Alanes and Taladua, four points from Cenal, and no points from Cachuela. SMB scored 21 points in the finals, the most anticipated duel between SMB and TNT for the PBA 3×3 Third Conference title, with Manday providing 7 points, Bono 6, Comboy 5, and Gamalinda 3 points. TNT earned 12 points thanks to 9 points from Vosotros, 3 points from De Leon, and 0 points from Acuno and Mendoza.
