MANILA, Philippines – the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig, the undefeated teams Barangay Ginebra and Rain or Shine defeated their respective opponents to complete the Final Four cast for the 2023 Batang PBA 11-Under Division.
With a 52-41 victory over Batang Blackwater Bossing and 15 points from Julian Mateo Baliwag, the Batang Gin Kings swept Group A.
Ginebra, who had previously defeated Converge by a score of 49 to 30, added 11 points from Lordy Tolentino in the third quarter, outscoring Blackwater 23 to 3.
Ryley Antonio Floirendo led a balanced effort with 16 points to help Rain or Shine defeat Northport, 81 to 61, in Group C to complete a 2-0 sweep.
Kenan Picazo scored 14 points, and Prince Gelo Bucag added 12. Rain or Shine defeated Phoenix last week, 64 to 58, and had significant contributions this time from them.
For the Batang Elasto Painters, Markus Jacob Feliciano scored a team-high 10 points.
At noon, Magnolia and Ginebra will square off. As opposed to San Miguel and Rain or Shine’s 1:30 p.m. matchup. at the same location on Friday in the semifinals.
San Miguel, the first team to reach the semifinals, likewise cleared Group D while Magnolia also went unbeaten in Group B.
In the Batang PBA 3×3 Manila Clasico, Magnolia defeated Barangay Ginebra again, this time by a score of 11 to 3.
Following a 13-2 victory over the Batang Gin Kings last week, the Batang Hotshots, comprised of Cian Lazaro, Adiel Stuart Casenas, Jesse Cunanan, and Joaquin De Guzman, declared their dominance over Bryan Mojica, Matte Mavrides, Edward Allen Manuel, and Robin Marcial.
