The elimination round of the 2026 PBA Commissioner’s Cup has officially wrapped up, leaving a trail of absolute destruction, broken brackets, and historical milestones in its wake. All 13 teams have fought through a grueling 12-game schedule, and the final leaderboard paints a picture of a league completely divided between elite heavyweights and those left searching for answers. From wire-to-wire dominance to down-to-the-wire tiebreakers, the final standings have locked in an incredibly explosive playoff bracket.

The Elite Four: NLEX Rules the Kingdom as Powerhouses Secure Twice-To-Beat

At the absolute summit of the mountain sit the NLEX Road Warriors (10–2). Operating with terrifying consistency under maximal pressure, NLEX closed out the classification stage to comfortably claim the solo number-one seed. Their hyper-efficient half-court execution and lock-down paint presence earned them the ultimate prize: a coveted twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinal round.

Right on their heels is a massive logjam of perennial heavyweights. Barangay Ginebra San Miguel (9–3) and the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters (9–3) finished with identical records, but thanks to a direct head-to-head tiebreaker, the Gin Kings officially clinched the number-two spot, leaving the Elasto Painters at number three. Rounding out the elite top tier are the Meralco Bolts (8–4), who managed to safely anchor the fourth and final twice-to-beat slot despite stumbling into a late-conference loss against Magnolia.

The Dangerous Middle: Giant Killers and Title Contenders Waiting in Ambush

The middle of the pack features a collection of rosters that no top-seeded team wanted to draw in a short series. The Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots (7–5) and the powerhouse San Miguel Beermen (7–5) finished side-by-side. Magnolia claimed the fifth seed courtesy of a crucial regular-season victory over SMB, riding a hot three-game winning streak straight into the postseason.

The most terrifying teams in the bottom half of the bracket, however, are the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters (6–6) and the defending champions, TNT Tropang 5G (6–6). While both teams closed out the elimination round on slide-back losing streaks, their structural depth makes them immediate threats. For TNT, the story of the elimination round culminated in pure history, as veteran floor general Jayson “The Blur” Castro officially crossed the threshold into the ultra-exclusive 10,000-point club, injecting their locker room with invaluable championship confidence just as the lights get brighter.

Left in the Dust: The Elimination Casualties

While eight franchises prepare for maximum playoff intensity, five teams saw their Commissioner’s Cup journeys come to a heartbreaking end. The Converge FiberXers (5–7) fought valiantly until the final whistle, finishing just one victory shy of forcing a playoff wildcard. Behind them, the Terrafirma Dyip (4–8) showed flashes of brilliance but lacked the late-game execution required to survive the elite tier.

The international guest team, the Macau Black Knights (3–9), provided plenty of fast-paced excitement but struggled to find defensive consistency on Philippine soil. Finally, anchoring the absolute bottom of the standings are the Titan Ultra Giant Risers (2–10) and the Blackwater Bossing (2–10), with the Risers ending their painful campaign on a grueling seven-game losing streak.

With the boundaries officially drawn, the regular-season standings are wiped clean. The twice-to-beat advantages are set, the underdogs are hungry, and the path to the historic Season 50 throne promises to be an absolute dogfight.

The Battle for Supremacy Begins

With the regular-season standings officially locked in, the luxury of second chances evaporates for the bottom half of the bracket. The top-four powerhouses hold a distinct psychological and mathematical advantage with their twice-to-beat cushions, but in a conference defined by historic milestones and razor-thin margins, no lead is safe. As the tournament shifts into the high-stakes quarterfinal phase, momentum and tactical adjustments will dictate survival. The foundational work of the elimination round is complete; now, the remaining eight franchises must elevate their execution to endure the grueling playoff gauntlet and claim the historic Season 50 crown.
