As the High Speed Hitters battled for their tournament lives this year, the stakes were higher. Dimaculangan was adamant about winning this time so she could enjoy her special day.
The High Speed Hitters did not have an easy victory because they played poorly in the opening set and were behind by as many as 14 points. Dimaculangan and the team as a whole, though, heeded head coach Rald Ricafort’s instruction to enjoy themselves and play their best.
In order to win Game Two, they withstood a late Angels rally in the third set before cruising to huge victories in sets three and four.
It was a special birthday for Dimaculangan since she put forth a total of 25 excellent sets and four players who scored in double figures.
