MANILA, Philippines – In two thrilling games at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City on Tuesday, the Premier Volleyball League will make its eighth season debut. The veteran teams will be eager to show off their skills, while the new clubs will be hoping to make an impression.

Strong Group squares off against Petro Gazz, the reigning Reinforced Conference champion, at 4 p.m. with the Angels hoping to build off their most recent Champions League victory.
Strong Group Athletics, commanded by captain Dolly Verzosa, faces a formidable opponent in the Angels, whose squad is strengthened by the return of Myla Pablo and MJ Phillips as well as the addition of Fil-Am hitter Brooke Van Sickle.

While F2 Logistics was replaced by the Capital1 Solar Spikers, Strong Group assumed control of the Gerflor brand.

Chery Tiggo, the winners of the 2021 Open Conference, has added major players to its roster, such as Ara Galang and Aby Maraño, two former F2 Logistics mainstays. Together with regulars Mylene Paat, Shaya Adorador, Cess Robles, and sisters EJ and Eya Laure, Chery Tiggo is expected to dominate the Capital 1 Solar Spikers in their 6 p.m. game. collide.

The top four teams emerging from this initial phase advance to the semifinals, where another round-robin round ensues. The competition reaches its pinnacle as the top two teams engage in a thrilling best-of-three series, vying for the coveted championship title. The format ensures that every game is crucial, demanding consistent excellence from the participating teams.

Following suit, the clash between Choco Mucho and Nxled takes center stage at five o’clock in the evening. San Juan’s Filoil EcoOil Centre serves as the vibrant backdrop for the second playdate on Thursday, February 22.

As the anticipation builds, the Romeros and the entire Choco Mucho squad aim to navigate the challenges and showcase their prowess on the court. Starting at 6 p.m., Creamline, the AFC champions for the past two years, will take on Farm Fresh in their quest for an eighth league crown. In the inaugural triple-bill, which takes place at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday, February 24, there will be bouts between Chery Tiggo and Strong Group at 2:00 p.m. and Cignal and Akari at 3:30 p.m.
