Aug 9, 2023

MANILA, Philippines – The La Salle Lady Archers, who are tenaciously defending their UAAP title, have qualified for the Shakey’s Super League semifinals and will display their skill in the San Juan Arena. The Lady Archers defeated Jose Maria College Foundations (JMFC) with a commanding victory of 25-18, 25-14, and 25-19 in a strong performance during the quarterfinals.

The Lady Archers, who were coached by Noel Orcullo, displayed their expertise and teamwork to secure the victory in just over an hour and seven minutes. Coach Orcullo stressed that there is always space for development as the squad advances to the tournament’s next round even as they celebrate their victory.

Shevana Laput emerged as a crucial player, leading the assault for La Salle with an incredible 16 points. They will play the University of Santo Tomas (UST) squad in the elimination semi-finals thanks to their victory in the quarterfinals.

The Golden Tigresses of UST have also been making their mark on the opposite side. They are prepared to face their Final Four foe once more after defeating Enderun College in a tough match that lasted four sets (25-13, 25-16, 21-25, 25-14). Regina Jurado was named Player of the Game for her outstanding performance, which saw her rack up 18 points.

Jurado stated that as excitement for the forthcoming matchup between La Salle and UST grows, the squad is concentrating on strategic analysis to foresee and counter the Lady Archers’ game plan. The stage is set for a compelling semifinal matchup as both teams exhibit tremendous skills and a desire to win.

The Lady Archers’ road to the championship is still difficult, and their matchup with UST looks to be a contest of grit, camaraderie, and sportsmanship. As the Shakey’s Super League progresses, viewers can anticipate an exciting display of talent and competitive spirit as each club aims to advance to the finals.
