Anta’s partnership with the MPBL will provide significant benefits to regional basketball fans

May 19, 2023

MANILA, Philippines – The Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) is the group to contact if you want to connect with basketball lovers all around the country, and Anta Philippines knows precisely where to find them.

On Sunday night at the Anta Megamall location, a contract was signed formally establishing a collaboration between the Chinese sports brand and the regional league. Consequently, the company is now the MPBL’s official clothing provider for the next two years.

The occasion was attended by Anta general manager JP Paglinawan and commissioner Kenneth Duremdes.

The MPBL is active, much like the NBA is. As Paglinawan told SPIN.ph, “We wanted to get to those markets, and they’re already there.

Sen. Manny Pacquiao, who founded the league and has served as its official worldwide ambassador since 2016, was instrumental in making the relationship seem “natural,” according to Paglinawan.

It was planned for the boxing icon to represent the company at the event, but he had to withdraw last-minute.

Supporting our current and upcoming basketball players is important to us, and we hope that having Anta as a partner will help the league expand.

Anta promised to give the MPBL teams jerseys despite the fact that no financial details were made publicly available.

Anta, which now has 19 locations across the country, plans to open 31 more before the year is up, designating a 360 square meter branch in Cebu as its flagship location.
