LONDON, England – Frank Lampard, the interim manager of Chelsea, has stated that his desire to manage in the future has not changed as a result of his time in temporary charge of the team.
After Chelsea’s league campaign came to an end on Sunday with a 1-1 draw against Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge, Lampard stated that he will take a break and consider his options.
Returning to Chelsea in April, the 44-year-old was unable to turn around the club’s ailing season, only managing to win one of the 11 matches he presided over, a 3-1 success over Bournemouth on May 6.

But Lampard, who has already stated that he does not anticipate remaining at Chelsea for the upcoming campaign, claims he still has ambitions to return to management.
Frank Lampard announced that he would be taking a break and was looking forward to the impending interval. He highlighted that despite his uncertainty about what lies ahead, he is nevertheless determined to carry on in his current position. Lampard really enjoys his work as a manager, and he maintains his composure in the face of possible negative external opinions. Lampard finds satisfaction in his work despite realizing that managers frequently face difficulties of this nature. He intends to take a break first, then consider his options.
After Anthony Gordon’s ninth-minute opener was cancelled out by Kieran Trippier’s 27th-minute own goal, Lampard’s Chelsea finished their regular season with a 1-1 draw against Champions League-bound Newcastle.
With 44 points earned from the draw and 16 league losses, the London club finished the season 12th in the Premier League, with the joint-fifth-fewest goals scored in the division (38).
Since finishing 14th in the 1993–94 Premier League season, this is the club’s worst Premier League placing.
Lampard, who was fired by Everton in January after serving as manager for a year, lost 17 of the 29 Premier League games he presided over for the two clubs this season, winning just four.
Mauricio Pochettino has agreed to terms with Chelsea to become their next head coach, and a contract to that effect is anticipated to be completed soon.
