MANILA, Philippines – On Sunday, April 21, San Miguel’s PBA Season 48 Philippine Cup clash versus NorthPort went perfectly.

At the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City on Sunday, April 21, San Miguel officially secured a postseason place in the PBA Season 48 Philippine Cup by displaying their formidable firepower early on and demolishing NorthPort, 120-100.

From the beginning, the Beermen were just too much to handle, scoring 72 points in the opening 24 minutes of play on route to their eighth consecutive victory in as many games.

With CJ Perez leading the way with 29 points on 11 of 18 field goals, nine rebounds, six assists, and a steal, six Beermen finished in double digits.

Don Trollano scored 13, June Mar Fajardo had 12 points and nine rebounds, Mo Tautuaa had 15 points, and Jeron Teng added 10.

With four three-pointers, Marcio Lassiter scored 14 points, moving up to fourth place all-time in three-point field goals made.

“It’s true that when we play well, they can’t really hurt us, but when we play well, we can hurt them too,” said Perez, whose side was up 39 points at 114-75 after a basket by Trollano with 9:43 left in the game.

On the other side, Go Torokku-St. Clare defeats CCI-Yengskivel and go on to the semifinals to face EcoOil-Lasalle

Proceed to Torokku-St. Clare advanced to the Final Four of the 2024 PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup at the FilOil EcoOil Center in San Juan on Monday after capitalizing on a strong first half to neutralize the challenge of CCI-Yengskivel, 114-106.

Go Torakku-St. is awaiting top-seeded and two-time reigning champion EcoOIl-La Salle. Clare in Thursday’s first game of the best-of-three series.
