MANILA, Philippines – A minor adjustment was made to the three-team trade involving TNT, Blackwater, and NLEX by the Philippine Basketball Association. 

Paul Desiderio, one of the Blackwater athletes moving to NLEX, was replaced in the exchange that was approved by two picks—the Bossings’ second-round picks in the 2023 and 2026 rookie drafts. 

First-round pick in the 2022 PBA Draft Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser is still going to NLEX.

Troy Rosario and Gab Banal went to Blackwater at the same time as Calvin Oftana and Raul Soyud went to TNT. 

Rosario and Banal will play in their first Blackwater game against Bay Area on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. 

Rosser will take the field for NLEX against Rain or Shine on Friday. 

On October 5 against Magnolia, Oftana and Soyud will take the field for TNT for the first time.

Jeth Troy Utanes Rosario

A professional basketball player from the Philippines who plays for the Blackwater Bossing of the Philippine Basketball Association, was born on January 20, 1992. (PBA). Rosario is mobile and athletic enough to play small forward, and he is tall and built to play as a power forward or even a center. A challenging cover since he can also put the ball on the floor and score on the low block, he has also developed a respectable outside shot that extends to the three-point arc.

TNT Tropang Giga (2015–2022) 

Rosario was selected by the Mahindra Enforcers in the second round of the 2015 Philippine Basketball Association Draft. Two days later, the Enforcers transferred his rights to the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters through a convoluted three-team arrangement that also included TNT’s sister team, the NLEX Road Warriors. He and top draft pick Moala Tautuaa both agreed to 8.5 million dollar three-year rookie contracts with the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters on August 27, 2015.

Bossing at Blackwater (2022)

Rosario was acquired by the Blackwater Bossing on September 19, 2022, as part of a three-team transaction involving the Blackwater, TNT, and NLEX Road Warriors.

Gab Banal

Gabriel Banal, a Filipino professional basketball player for the Blackwater Bossing of the Philippine Basketball Association, was born on September 9, 1990. (PBA). In the second round of the 2014 PBA Draft, he was selected with the 22nd overall pick. He is the son of Joel Banal, a former basketball player and coach.

Later, he joined the PBA D-Go League’s For Gold Scratchers to play. He received the Finals MVP Award when his team won the 2018 PBA D-League Foundation Cup Finals.

Barako Bull to San Miguel 

He was moved to the Barako Bull Energy for the draft rights of third-round choice Ronald Pascual shortly after being drafted by the San Miguel Beermen along with Jojo Duncil, Chico Lanete, and a 2016 first-round pick (Jeoffrey Javillonar was eventually taken).

GlobalPort Batang Pier

He thereafter played a meager number of minutes per game with GlobalPort Batang Pier. 

Strikers from Bacoor City 

He also participated in basketball with the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League’s Bacoor City Strikers. He was given the distinction of being the 2018–19 MPBL Datu Cup MVP after the event.

Alaska Aces

He later signed a one-conference contract with the Alaska Aces before going back to the Philippine Basketball Association. 

TNT Tropang Giga

Banal signed a two-year contract with the TNT Tropang Giga after obtaining his release from the Aces. 

Blackwater Bossing

Banal was acquired by the Blackwater Bossing on September 19, 2022, as part of a three-team transaction involving Blackwater, TNT, and the NLEX Road Warriors.

Calvin Oftana

Filipino professional basketball player Calvin John Oftana (born January 3, 1996) plays for the TNT Tropang Giga of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He participated in NCAA college basketball for the San Beda Red Lions. He is capable of playing both small forward and power forward. In college, he also participated as a shooting guard.

NLEX Road Warriors (2021–2022)

Oftana declared for the PBA Season 46 draft in 2021. [18] He was given the opportunity to participate in the special Gilas round during the selection, but he was rejected. [19] The NLEX Road Warriors selected him with the third pick in the first round. In their elimination round game against the Meralco Bolts, he scored 34 points in 29 minutes of action on 8 of 11 three-point attempts and 12 of 18 from the field, shattering Allan Caidic’s 34-year record for rookie three-point attempts made. He also made the game-winning layup with 6.1 seconds remaining to give NLEX an 81-80 victory over the Bolts in the quarterfinals.

TNT Tropang Giga (2022–present)

On September 19, 2022, Oftana was traded to the TNT Tropang Giga in a three-team trade involving TNT, NLEX, and Blackwater Bossing.

Brandon Rosser

A Filipino-American basketball player for the NLEX Road Warriors of the Philippine Basketball Association, Brandon Arnell Ganuelas-Rosser was born on June 29, 1994. (PBA).

Blackwater Bossing (2022)

In the PBA draft of 2022, Ganuelas-Rosser was selected first overall. 

NLEX Road Warriors (2022–present)

Ganuelas-Rosser was acquired by the NLEX Road Warriors on September 19, 2022, as part of a three-team transaction involving NLEX, Blackwater, and TNT Tropang Giga.
