MANILA, Philippines – Let’s take a review of the week’s PBA action. At the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig on Wednesday during the 2023 Batang PBA, DAVID Dizon scored 18 points to lead the PBA Greats to an 85 to 45 rout of Magnolia.
For the PBA Greats in Group B of the 12-Under category, it was their second victory in as many games.
Blackwater defeated All-Star Dark 106 to 33 thanks to Tyrese Gabriel Tang’s 26 points.
The Batang Bossing, who moved to 2 to 2, received contributions from Rafael Iago Cheng, AJ Shawne Fedillaga, and Tristan Eric Gimao, who scored 21, 15, and 12 points, respectively.
With an 83 to 53 rout over Meralco in the 14-Under division, Carlos Miguel Victolero scored 12 points to lead the PBA Stalwarts into the winner’s circle.
Dwayne Chadwick Nonato (12 points), Jaime Jacob Hizon III (10 points), and the son of Magnolia coach Chito Victolero teamed up to help the Stalwarts square their record at 1 to 1 as they jumped out to a 27 to 8 advantage.
Meanwhile, Talk ‘N Text destroyed Magnolia, 70 to 30, with the help of Francis Adriano II’s 12 points, tying idle Converge for first place in Group C in the 14-Under play at 2 to 0.
In the other 14-Under division game, Kiefer Lambert Panganiban led the way with 18 points as All Star Dark (1 to 0) thrashed Blackwater, 82 to 57, to get its first victory in Group B. (JBU)
