Only San Miguel stands in TNT’s way of making PBA 3×3 Third Conference history.
The Beermen defeated Cavitex with a score of 21 to 20 in the semifinals to set up a confrontation with the Tropang Giga for the Leg 5 championship of the standalone tournament at Robinsons Place in Antipolo on Sunday.
Tropang Giga defeated Terrafirma Dyip with a score of 21 to 15 to advance to the finals. On Sunday at Ynares Center, TNT proved too much for Terrafirma, winning Leg 4 of the PBA 3×3 Third Conference. The Tropang Giga won the P100,000 prize money with a deuce from Samboy De Leon, as they became the first team in the conference to win two straight leg titles.
Almond Vosotros of Tropang Giga and Co. are in their third straight finals appearance, and they are on course to become the first team to win three straight trophies.
Ken Bono and the Beermen are vying for their second 3×3 championship. The results of the semifinals are as follows: Manday scored 9 points, Comboy 8, Bono 4, and Gamalinda 0 for a total of 21 points for SMB. Galanza scored 10 points for Cavitex, Rivero added 6, and Saldua and Rangel each scored two points.
In the meantime, TNT scored 21 points against Terrarfirma. Vosotros scored eight points, De Leon scored six, Mendoza scored four, and Acuno scored three. Alanes scored 7 points for Terrafirma, Cenal and Cachuela each scored 3 points, and Taladua scored 2 points.
