MANILA, Philippines – Scottie Thompson should be fit for BARANGAY Ginebra’s PBA Commissioner’s Cup matchup against TNT on Christmas Day.

When the defending champions play the Tropang Giga at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on December 25, Coach Tim Cone anticipates the former MVP to be back in action. However, he will be sidelined for two to three weeks.

“He is going to become prepared through the holiday season. That’s the time for sure,” Cone stated.

He jokingly continued, “(subsequently) more effectively be as well. Alternatively, anywhere else I’m going cause harm to my own abilities.”

Thompson allegedly suffered an unspecified left leg injury the previous week while playing in the Kings’ game in opposition to Blackwater considering large forward Bradywyn Guinto touched down onto his leg in a frenzied scramble for the ball.

Although Thompson participated in the entire competition against opponent Bossing, he did not participate in Sunday night’s 110 to 99 victory over Terrafirma Dyip.

“First examination coming from Doc (George) Canlas is 2 to 3 weeks bare essential,” stated Cone.

Cone speculated that Thompson, a natural healer, might return even sooner, making the all-around guard more likely.

“We are going to see. He wants to return sooner. He mentioned the possibility that he would return after he got his arm with Gilas. Many doubted him, including the doctors, but he eventually made a full recovery.

Meanwhile, JL Delos Santos is the next rookie that Converge signs.

Converge added a new inaugural player member to its roster on Monday in an attempt to win the Professional Basketball Association (PBA) Commissioner’s Cup and make history.

JL Delos Santos, a second-round pick, has signed with the FiberXers, hoping for assistance in helping the team halt its losing streak in the import-heavy conference.

Signs of Delos Santos on

In the presence of a fresh substitute, the position of governor CK Kanapi and team manager Jacob Lao, the Jose Rizal University alumnus signed the agreement.

It did not, however, reveal the terms of the agreement.

Delos Santos, the 19th overall second-round selection of the FiberXers in the previous Rookie Draft, was the most recent young player to join a reconfigured Converge lineup.

Along with adding Patrick Maagdenberg, someone else the newcomer, currently FiberXers have agreed to terms with rookie draft picks Schonny Winston, BJ Andrade, Bryan Santos, and Kamron Vigan-Fleming.

Additionally, the team added another new player to Mac Tallo.

Converge, who has lost their last five games, including a heartbreaking 99 to 98 loss to Phoenix last week, is led by Delos Santos joining the team.
