WASHINGTON DC – The NBA playoffs are dividing the White House, as Vice President Kamala Harris supports the Golden State Warriors and her husband Doug Emhoff supports the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Los Angeles Times was informed by Emhoff, Second Gentleman, that “this is a whole situation in the household.” “Kamala is a devoted, and I do mean serious, supporter of the Warriors.

“I’m a die-hard Laker supporter,”

In their best-of-seven Western Conference semifinal series, the Lakers are now up against the Warriors by a score of three games to two.

The Warriors defeated the LeBron James-led Lakers 121 to 106 on Wednesday to avoid elimination. Stephen Curry scored 27 points in the triumph.

Emhoff attended school in southern California, which is home to the Lakers, but Harris is an Oakland, California native. Naturally, both have offices inside the White House complex.

Emhoff recalled of his and Harris’ reactions after learning that their two favorite teams would be playing in the playoffs.’”

On Twitter, they announced a wager amongst friends. The losing team will be required to don the victorious team’s uniform.

Curry gave Harris a jersey with the number “1” on it in January when the Warriors visited the White House, and Emhoff would be required to wear it if the Warriors’ triumph.

A series victory after falling behind 3 to 1 has only been achieved by 13 NBA clubs.
