Choco Mucho Flying Titans will have to manage the next few matches of the Premier Volleyball League without one of their key players, Maddie Madayag. The team confirmed Thursday that the middle blocker will be sidelined for a short period while focusing on her recovery.

“Maddie is taking the necessary time to get back to full health,” Choco Mucho said in a statement. “We expect her to return as soon as she’s ready, but for now, she will miss the upcoming games.”

Madayag has been a pivotal figure for the Flying Titans, known for her sharp attacks, strong blocking, and steady presence in both offense and defense. Her absence will be a noticeable gap in Choco Mucho’s lineup, requiring other players to step up in crucial situations.

Head coach Arthur Mamon acknowledged the challenge but expressed confidence in his team’s depth. “Maddie is an important part of our rotation, and we will certainly miss her,” he said. “At the same time, this gives other players the chance to take on more responsibility and show what they can do.”

Choco Mucho faces a busy schedule in the coming weeks, with several matches that could influence their standings and playoff positioning. Adjusting rotations and strategies will be essential to keep the team competitive, particularly in areas where Madayag contributes the most, such as blocking at the net and quick attacks.

The team’s players and fans have shown support for Madayag on social media, praising her professionalism and dedication to both her recovery and the squad. Many emphasized that taking time to heal properly is crucial, ensuring she can return at full strength.

“Everyone at Choco Mucho is behind Maddie,” Mamon added. “We want her to come back healthy. It’s better for her to focus on recovery now than risk returning too early and aggravating her condition.”

In her absence, Choco Mucho will rely on a mix of experienced teammates and emerging talents to maintain performance. While losing a key player is always a challenge, the team remains determined to stay focused and deliver strong results on the court.

Madayag’s eventual return is expected to provide a boost to the Flying Titans as they approach the later stages of the PVL season. Until then, the team is concentrating on teamwork, tactical adjustments, and maximizing the strengths of the players available.

This temporary setback highlights the importance of depth and resilience in the league. Choco Mucho has the opportunity to demonstrate its versatility and cohesion in the coming matches, proving that the team can adapt and continue to compete even without one of its star players.
