MANILA, Philippines – On Wednesday, May 21, the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters and the TNT Tropang Giga, two of the PBA’s most successful teams, will play each other in a pivotal Philippine Cup contest at the Ynares Center in Antipolo. As the crucial stage of the elimination round draws near, both clubs, who are currently on winning streaks, will want to improve their position even more.

Rain or Shine has a 4–2 win–loss record going into the competition. With a win, they would go up to a 5–2 record and share third position in the rankings with the formidable San Miguel Beermen. With its big guys back, Rain or Shine has improved their paint defense and rebounding, while TNT needs to find methods to manage the pace and adapt to its injured backcourt.
